GOD CAN USE YOU!
God, grant me the Serenity to accept the people I cannot change,

the Courage to change the one I can, and the Wisdom to know it's me.

The next time you feel like GOD can't use you, just remember...
Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old

Isaac was a daydreamer

Jacob was a liar

Leah was ugly

Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
John the Baptist ate bugs
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer
...AND...


Lazarus was dead!

No more excuses now. God can use you to your full potential.
Besides you aren't the message, you are just the messenger.

Holy Spirit Inspired...

So rhyming has always been fun for me, but even more so with the inspiration of Holy Spirit...

Here are a few lil' poems that were God-breathed. Enjoy!


FAITH

Finding the faith to believe
A mountain can be moved
Is easier than we think
Trust God & it will be proved
Hope is more than wishing,
   ... for things you want & more
   Have FAITH in God & trust in Him
   He has great things in store!

TRUST

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
Respect Him and His ways
Understand we can't do it alone
So as the Bible says
Then He will make straight our paths,
    ...when we acknowledge Him
    He promises to light our way
    His light will never dim.


Give Him the Time
God has not given a spirit of fear
He has promised us His Spirit is near
We call on God, in Jesus' name
Father, Son & Spirit the same.

God the Father in Heav'n resides
Jesus the Son is at His side
God the Spirit was sent to earth
To empower us in our second birth.

The Spirit is our comfort & guide
He helps us become God's precious bride
He speaks the Truth, that's what He knows
When we seek His help, God's love we show.

God can speak to one and all
Yet we need to heed His call
Just like Samuel in days of old
We need to obey what we are told.

Listen for that still, small voice
He will help you make the right choice
God can even make it rhyme
Just listen and give Him the time.

Don't just read... Apply!

I'm so thankful to Holy Spirit for His insight and wisdom throughout the day at work... funny thing was I was sitting on the toilet when it happened. (I guess 'cause that's pretty much the only time there's peace and quiet for more than a minute.) LOL!

He was telling me about 'applying the Word'...

The Word is like Sunscreen or Sunblock... I could have a bottle of sunscreen (which I have tons, as I still have the stash that we won with our 'Ultimate Summer Package' in the summer of '08 from GRACE FM {now INSPIRE FM :(} - hence the picture above of me and Mark.) and if I just pull it out every now and then and read the directions, but never apply it to myself, then I'm gonna get burnt. If we just leave the Bible on the shelf (or in the drawer of our hotel room) and maybe read it on Sundays with Pastor, or not at all... then we can never apply it to our lives, and we are gonna get 'burnt' in the eternal flames of hell's fire.

Pretty cool eh?

So, go read a Scripture today and APPLY it to your life! (Start today with Proverbs 24:10 found in the MESSAGE translation --- WOW!! It cuts right in deep, especially if you are 'doing nothing' or falter in times of trouble. "If you fall to pieces in a crisis, there wasn't much to you in the first place.")

To Blog or not To Blog... Is not the question. Where To Blog is... LOL!

So ya... I am still in the blogging world, and I know it's bad to not blog for more than 2 months. I just came on to this blog and saw my last blog post was like July. My 'followers' will not follow anymore if I don't post regularly. Yep, I get it. However, my problem is I have several blogs on the go... for several different aspects of my life. Unfortunately due to timing as well, I haven't written alot in most of them.

SORRY I'VE BEEN GONE SO LONG...

God has been working in my heart & spirit, and I have not forgotten about this BLOG. I apologize to any followers who have come, and received nothing new. I actually like to re-read different blogs, and gain new revelation regarding the topics or verses covered.

I am going forward more with 'CRE8TED 2 SHINE', and seeing what God will do when I use the gifts and talents that He has given me for His Kingdom and for His glory!

Since I have completed the 30-Day Makeover, I have purchased the book 'BECOMING GOD'S TRUE WOMAN' by NANCY LEIGH-DEMOSS, and other books regarding girls and women of God. I am also now involved in a BOOK CLUB at our church, where we are reading and studying the book 'LINEAGE OF GRACE' by FRANCINE RIVERS. So I look forward in anticipation of the things that will transpire this coming year! HOPE YOU WILL JOIN ME!

30-Day TRUE WOMAN Makeover - Looking Back...

"put on a happy face..."

WOW! It's hard to believe that the 'challenge' is done (but not, if you know what I mean)... I have grown so much and learned so much, and this was the PERFECT time for me to be a part of this '30-Day True Woman Make-over'. I think to the verse in Esther, 'for such a time as this...' ("Do not think that because you are in the king's house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?" - Esther 4:13-15) So much is going on in my life spiritually and physically, emotionally and socially, and I am sooooo blessed to know that I don't have to be the 'VIRTUAL' woman, yet I can be WHO GOD CALLED ME TO BE, as a 'VIRTUOUS' woman.

What a true blessing this has been, and if you have journeyed along with me, then I pray that you were blessed as well in your own journey, but that you saw the life of another 'Christian woman' who was far from perfect, become a woman that God can use. I love how God can take the ORDINARY and turn it (or them) into something (or someone) who can be EXTRAORDINARY through His power and annointing!

This is truly something that does need to be shared, with the next generation, and I am going to begin that teaching and training very soon~~ Anyone joining me? (not actually joining me, but doing it in your own home, church, town/city, around the world... etc.)

A prayer to bless you with... ALL my sista's in the Lord (whoever you may be)...

"We thank you LORD for YOUR HAND at work in these human circumstances that are trying to distract us from doing YOUR WORK elsewhere, and within this situation as well. Thank you Lord for allowing us to grow EACH ONE OF US as individuals which You have called to do Your good work. God what YOU put together, let no man put asunder... but God I pray that WHAT YOU DO NOT PUT TOGETHER (and what man puts together without You) will be put asunder... Let us THINK about ALL that is on our hearts and minds, as you have asked us to, 'whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.' (Philippians 4:8) and I claim that we all CAN & WILL pray, 'I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (All of us who are mature should take such a view of things.) And if on some point [I] think differently, that too God will make clear to [me].' (Philippians 3:14-15)

I also pray GOD right now in the NAME OF JESUS, that you will touch the hearts and spirits and minds and emotions of me and ALL my 'sisters' (those I know and love, and those I don't)... that you will grant us Your forgiveness, strength, and the release of your peace and love in our lives as a whole. Bring us all closer together as spiritual sisters, daughters, mentors and mothers, and closer to You as our HEAVENLY FATHER. God remove any bitterness or depression (or other negative things that are not of You) that may be sitting idle in our hearts, minds and spirits, our wills, our emotions, our conscious and our subconscious, our intellect and such... Fill that void with the fruit of Your Spirit, that we ALL may move on in this to all that YOU HAVE CALLED US TO BE AS WOMEN of GOD!  That WE may be an example to other women (younger & older) around us, but especially to our younger generations. Help us as the 'younger' generations honour and respect the 'older' generations as well! Jesus, YOU are the Great Redeemer, and You do hold us all in your hand Father, so just let Your Spirit be released in us all, and flow so that we may flow in Your will and Your ways... Let Your Spirit fall, and empower us to walk strong and with authority and power as YOUR DAUGHTERS of Faith! Let us not 'fall asleep' anymore, but let us run with perseverance to the finish... God, guide our steps, our words, our thoughts, and our actions so that all we think, feel, say and do will glorify YOU!

I close with the verse, and pray it for ALL my sisters (and brothers too) - 'And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' (Philippians 4:7)

IN JESUS' PRECIOUS NAME,
